Tottenham have been heavily linked with Portuguese international and Sporting CP midfielder Adrien Silva and the latest reports going on in the media are interesting.
Yesterday, three renowned Portuguese sources – O Jogo, A Bola and JN – made claims about the potential transfer of the 28-year-old Seleccao star.
O Jogo stated that Tottenham have so far made an offer worth €20million but Sporting CP are demanding a fee of €30million for Silva, who has a release clause of €45million in his contract.

A Bola published their story with a twist. They claimed that Tottenham have actually made an offer of €25million cash and €5million in bonuses. However, Sporting are demanding a full cash payment worth €30million immediately.
JN (press image provided below) came up with a headline “Adrien near Tottenham”. In the report, they claimed that the Euro 2016 champion is close to signing for Spurs after an offer worth €25million was made but the Primeira Liga side are trying to somehow increase the sum and get €30million.
The Portuguese outlet have further stated that Silva will accept a move to join the North Londoners, however, at the moment, personal terms have not been agreed.
In the last campaign, Silva featured in 36 games and directly contributed in 10 goals (6 goals and 4 assists). We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming days.
