Going into the Match Day 5 against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, Arsenal had the advantage in the group.
However, after a 2-2 draw last night at the Emirates, the Ligue 1 champions have leapfrogged the North Londoners due to better head to head record and the Gunners will most likely finish second unless a miracle happens on Match Day 6.
Second position will mean that Wenger’s men will once again face a tough team in the first knock out round of the competition. Not to forget, Arsenal have failed to go past the round of 16 in their last 6 attempts.
Arsene splashed heavy cash in the summer transfer window to sign Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach but the Swiss international has been warming the bench recently and that has baffled the supporters.
The former Basel star was on the bench last weekend against United and the same happened last night vs PSG as well. The 24-year-old only arrived on the field in the 77th minute of the game.
The supporters are absolutely furious and have seriously questioned Wenger’s decision of excluding Xhaka. Here are a few reactions.
