Fee Agreement Close – "Great" Star Looks Set to Join Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp DortmundLiverpool are in search of a quality attacker to reinforce their offense this summer and Southampton playmaker Sadio Mane is heavily linked.
If reports are anything to go by then the Senegalese attacker looks set to join Liverpool but it remains to be seen whether he will move for a straight cash deal or a cash plus swap deal.
According to the Sun, the Saints are waiting for the new boss to arrive before selling Mane, however, ground is being prepared for his Liverpool move to go through.
The 24-year-old African is a “great” playmaker (ESPN) who can play anywhere in the attacking third. Last season, he featured in 43 games for the Saints and directly contributed in 24 goals.
Few days back, Sun reported that Liverpool are ready to seal the signing of Mane in a deal worth 30 million pounds and are close to agreeing a fee.
Now, they claim that the Reds are willing to seal a player plus cash deal to sign Mane. The Merseysiders are ready to use Jordon Ibe in the deal for around 10 million pounds to sign the former Metz player.
Ibe failed to impress under Jurgen Klopp last season and only scored a single goal in 27 league appearances.
Therefore, Liverpool fans will not really be worried if the 20-year-old winger departs Anfield in the summer transfer window.

If Mane joins I’ll be salivating! He would be the mobile, quick and intelligent player we need and if we need to sacrifice Ibe in order to get him, so be it.
After that, a new LB, with hector my preference, another CB of international quality, a defensive midfielder of world-class and a striker and winger to give us a shout at next year’s title.
No change out of a hundred million but, hey, who cares!

My name is Joseph from the Western part of Nigeria. I have been supporting great Liverpool for the past 42 years.
Our owners should please spend and spend wisely by putting their confidence in our great coach.
Big names are good but they do not guarantee success.
Many players were brought up by him from obscurity to limelight in his days at Dortmund and he gave the mighty Bayern a run for their moneys for close or over 4 good years if not more. Remember he won the World Cup for Germany at South Africa(through his tutelage Mario Gotze)
Please lets put the mediocrity of Rogers era completely behind us.
I want to quickly forget those painful two and a half years. He naively played into the hands of his old master (Jose Mourinho) to gift Man City the coveted cup we have been eagerly awaiting on platter of gold when we needed only a draw against Chelsea. I painfully watch the way our old adversary Everton willingly gifted Man City the three points for us to loose the Premiership.
Long live “The great Liverpool( the only true British and English European giant)”.
On final note please do all possible best to bring back the “Great General of our last decade back as Player Coach to assuage the ignominy treatment meted to him by Rogers. Please he deserves to lift the Premiership Cup next May which I strongly believe we will win.YWA.. Quote at least two Cups next season(The Premiership + FA Cup).

Fenway sports group would spend a100 million Dollars on a Baseball player but not on our beloved club,so lets not get a little carried away, and see who he actually buys at the end of the transfer window,Im with you but lets just wait and see.

  4. Adonay Magi says:

How does it happen that smaller teams in the EPL will always discover unpopular and talented players which they always buy cheap while scouts at LFC always failed to do same? If our scouts were worth a salt we wouldn’t be in this mess. Am convinced this scouts will not be able to diferentiate a footballer from a donkey. Do away with this lot and let our coach recruit his players.

Am Anemeh Ahmed aka Cuba from Nigeria & also a die hard Lfc fan,if we can add just 5 quality players to the squad @ hand,i mean players like Saido Mane,Jonas hector, ever Banega, zielinski and denis praet…I guess these player are die hard and under 2 season we could be winning trophies. And why I prefer praet is his eye for goal,we need competition for coutinho-he plays well but doesn’t have the strenght to mark and sometimes losses the ball easily

  6. Benjamin Ziege says:

I am not really fond of buying players that come from middle table teams. For me Southampton is not a great side so players like Mane will shine but when they get to teams like Liverpool were the expectations are high they crumble. Example is Benteke Villa to Liverpool. Joe Allen Swansea to Liverpool 2 seasons before we saw anything worth watching. Lallana, Southampton to Liverpool took long to adjust and come of age now he’s 28 still average. Andy Carroll, Loveren . The list could be long. Why can’t we go for a proven players and compete against the big boys.We need a trophy and champions league football. Not capital one competitors all the time.

  7. Tank says:

I think Eden Hazard is one of the choice for Liverpool striker.Although he not perform well in chelsea on last season. But at least he is a better forward compare to Benteke and Sturridge. Besides, he perform well in national team and maybe can bring Belgium to quarter final of Euro 2016.

    • RED PHIL says:

Sorry, mate, Hazard is a midfielder and not a striker. Add that to the fact that he’s not been playing well for eighteen months and Belgium lost last night I think it unlikely the Duke Of Hazard will be joining LFC in a striking capacity! I’d like him in midfield, obviously, but I’d be chewing my own tongue if he was signed on the basis of his goal scoring prowess!
