Problem is that LVG is too cowardly to bench Rooney and Carrick……they slow the team down with sideways/negative passing and possession for Rooney is something alien due to his poor ball control, for such a highly rated English player, seems ludicrous.
Hopefully the new manager is brave enough to get rid of them from the 1st team and revive the old man utd attacking style of days gone by.
I think lingaard is playing at a wrong number. he is efficient at the right flank than no. 10.Asking him to do so is a big burden for someone to score goals yet is good as a playmaker than striker. Watch his face when he cant score, tells you that number is tough for a young lad used to give assists.
Rooney and the rest of the attacking four should shoot when near or inside 18 yard box. This at least can guarantee more than two goals in a match.coz more shots at goal means more goals.
