After missing out on signing a quality playmaker in the form of Barcelona star Pedro, Man United are linked with moves to sign even bigger names.
Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has been in the limelight and now even Barcelona’s Neymar is on Manchester United’s radar.
Reports suggest that Manchester United have officially moved in with a mammoth bid to sign Neymar from Barca. The Samba star has scored 167 senior goals so far in his career.
It will be fair to say that after letting Pedro depart the Nou Camp, Barcelona will never let a World Class superstar like Neymar leave the club this summer.
Moreover, Neymar is arguably one of the best players in the world and currently plays for the best team that won the coveted treble last season. There is no real motivation for him to leave the Catalan giants to join a side that are playing mediocre football at the moment.
Manchester United should stop wasting time by chasing the likes of Neymar and Bale and look for realistic transfer targets.

The last sentence here is what is wrong with the thinking – why shouldn’t we go after Neymar and Bale? These guys are ‘professional’ footballers, very few of them are with their clubs because of any special allegiance. According to Forbes, we are the 3rd richest club (not owners) in the world, behind Real and Barca. They have 6 world class strikers between them and some of us moan because we didn’t snap up their left-overs (Pedro). We are currently in a stronger financial position than either of those two, so why should we poach from them as they have done from us for years?

Please don’t be worried. If Manchester does not buy Bale, Neymar or Ronaldo, we will send Mr. Woodward to Mars to sign the little green attacker who will blow out any defense in England. The Manager has confidence in Woodward’s s achievement rate.
