Manchester United are closing in on signing one defensive midfielder in the form of Schneiderlin if reports are anything to go by.
However, there are other reports that suggest that the Red Devils are interested in signing someone else for the holding midfield role. The player in discussion is Lazio and Argentine star Lucas Biglia.
According to reports, Manchester United will be able to sign the Serie A star if they come up with a mammoth offer of €49.8m.
Lazio finished third in Serie A and qualified for the Champions League with Biglia being a key member of the squad.
As per the provided Express link, the Argentine star has been offered a new five year deal by Lazio. However, it is also claimed that Man United €49.8m offer for Biglia will be Accepted.
Lucas played in 31 games for Lazio last season, scored 4 goals and provided 3 assists as well while mainly playing as a DM. Currently, the Albiceleste star is with the national squad taking part in Copa America and lines up in midfield with Mascherano.
Biglia is a quality player without doubt but it will be fair to say that the mentioned price tag is way too high for a 29 year old star and United must focus on signing Schneiderlin.

Man U should sign Morgan Schneiderlin and forget about any other signing. The defense will now be Luke/ rojo at left back Dailey Blind and Smalling as central pair with Rafeal/Varela at right back. The problem of Man U last season was a defensive midfielder and not defence.

Morgan is a quality player at his age and price we need not look further other than focusing on different areas. We also need to give Di Maria chance like we did Fellaine
