How Spurs will Line up with Kevin Wimmer

EPLTottenham must reinforce their squad to have any hope of finishing in top 4 next season and they are already busy with the transfers.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has focused on improving the defense first as the department has been a major source of concern.
Spurs conceded 51 goals in 2013-2014 league campaign and this time around conceded 53. Failing to adequately replace Dawson has not helped either.
However, the North Londoners have signed a talented youngster to hopefully solve the central defense dilemma.
Tottenhamm officially confirmed the signing of 22 year old Austrian star Kevin Wimmer who completes his move to White Hart Lane from German Bundesliga club FC Koln.
Wimmer has been an established center back and was a regular for Koln last season as he featured in 34 games for the club.
The Austrian international should get straight into the starting XI to partner Belgian star Jan Vertonghen in central defense.
Here is how Spurs will line up with Kevin Wimmer.

Thanks for showing Tottenham’s team with Wimmer in it. Very helpful

No right minded manager would play two left-footed centre backs unless they had to, due to injuries/suspensions etc. Therefore, your “configuration” is somewhat unreal and far-fetched.
Especially bearing in mind Wimmer’s weakness is aerial duels which is where Fazio is the strongest of all the defenders we have. Statistically, Wimmer is also weak in tackles, something that’s Vertonghen’s strength. Again, stats show that his strength is long balls, Pochettino may opt to play him in a left-back or left-sided centre back position (instead of Vertonghen at times – in cup games or europa league maybe!?) or even in the deep midfield, sitting ahead of the defense line. But his pass accuracy rate does not seem that impressive so it would be reasonable to guess that he has been brought in with a view to develop and utilise as needed.

Smasher are u telling me we have bought a defender who can’t tackle, head the ball or pass it, would like to see dier playing at centre back

wimmer is known as a defender who can pick the ball up and take it out of defence into a more attacking position, if you look at his stats he created more chances than any other player in a german league last year, therefor he seem to be the perfect centre back partner for vertonghen (when hes on his game ) and good ridence to fazio as he is a donkey as is chiriches! dier seems to me to be inbetween defence and midfield kind of player who also has a wicked cross !! like wimmer he can carry the ball out of defence and creat chances for the forehead of the one and only harry kane C.O.Y.S
