Manchester United have lately been linked with numerous defenders but one star has been heavily in the lime light.
The player in discussion is German star Mats Hummels who currently captains Borussia Dortmund but United seem to be his likely destination next season.
According to Daily Star, a source close to Manchester United has confirmed that the Red Devils are interested in signing Mats Hummels.
“No deal has been done but he (Mats) is someone we want to sign, like several others this summer.”
As per the provided link, Manchester United are closing on €41.5m deal to sign Hummels in the summer transfer window.
United must act swiftly in the transfer market to sign targets as soon as possible. The competition for a player like Hummels will increase if United waste time.
Despite his dip in form of late for the Bundesliga side, Hummels is a one of the best central defenders around and will improve any side.

Hummels is a quality defender but this quoted fee is very high, there are better and young quality defenders who can cost less and improve our backline effectively. Otamendi is a good example. But if Dortmund lowers their asking price to £20m atmost, then it will be good business by lvg.

At the back we only need two players HUMMELS and OTAMENDI, Then we would be fine and then on the wings we only need one Depay.
