Manchester United are interested in few young and top attacking midfielders and one of them is Brazilian sensation Roberto Firmino.
The Samba star has been brilliant for German club Hoffenheim over the past two seasons and United have tracked him well.
With Di Maria being inconsistent for the Red Devils, United must have more depth and quality in the attacking third to challenge the beat teams in Europe next season and signing Firmino is the right move.
According to reports, Manchester United are all clear to seal 18.6 million pounds playmaker signing in the summer transfer window.
Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or a secondary striker, Firmino is a regular scorer and creator of goals.
In 30 appearances this season for the German club, Roberto has scored 9 goals and provided 10 assists.
As reported previously, Manchester United have already agreed the above mentioned fee for the transfer of Firmino to Old Trafford.
Not to forget, Manchester United are also keen to finalize the transfer of Dutch playmaker Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven.
It will be intriguing to see how Louis van Gaal will set up his starting XI if the club does secure the signings of Depay as well as Firmino with the likes of Mata and Di Maria already at the club.

We need a playmaker in d class of iniesta and scholes moulded together, what i mean is a player that can win his tackles, marks very well just like scholes and can drive with d ball glued to his foot just like iniesta. Manchester needs a playmaker that can perform magic with his foot one that leaves his opponents pondering on his next move (i miss j.s park). A player that knows when to give a pass and when to shoot, a playmaker that is not afraid to open for a pass even when closely marked, a playmaker that rarely plays the ball backwards.

With the likes of Herera, Mata etc, the dept manu misfield is a bit stable. Manu need a goal machine to change the fate of the club dilemma

Khedira is too old we can’t be spending to replace old player every season. A Carrick understudy will do for me, + hummels, depay and de bruyne

We need to strengthen our defence first, desperately need a central defender + 1 other defender at least. Once we have that then we need another one or two world class strikers to replace RVP who seems to be nearing the end of his career and other non performers Our playmakers are the least of our problems with Carrick , Mata, Herrera, Fellani and Di Maria ( who will be a huge asset to us when he strikes form, and he will sooner than later) all doing a great job we are pretty well covered in this area in the SHORT TERM. Lets spend the money where it’s needed most, then worry about the fine tuning. Unless of course the budget is big enough to do it all at once say £200 – 250 million? ???!!!! Rooney is a striker and he is doing a great job in the striking position; But we need a striking partner with Rooney. Such striker to per with Rooney is Cavani. Falcao and RVP should be offloaded. Talking about the midfield, we don’t need a midfielder, because we have them already. Hererra, Carrick, Blind, Mata, Fellaini, and even Di maria are capable of doing the job in midfield. To conclude, I think we need Mat Hummel to per with Rojo. I like Valencia in right back (RB). Then Mephis Depay and Cavani will be enough for Man United.
We need a Versatile defender who can play CB or RB and a CM like Pogba/strootman/Modric then a goal scoring winger coz Adm can assist and in this case, Bale and Reus can do then a goal machine lyk Dyabala
@Pinkode, Debryne is a winger and I will prefer Memphis Depay as a winger because of his age and lower sign on fees. @gwens Sami Khedira is not too old at 27years. Is the best holding midfielder available at the moment let’s forget about Pogba as is overrated. Dragovic and Firmino and that’s ok for the next three seasons. Signing too much players will not gie opportunity to the youngters in Man U and it will not be good for a club like Man U.
I think we need a versatile defender in the person of Nicolas Otamendi, A bullish midfielder like Nigel dejong for now, a winger like Memphis Depay and a strike partner like Alexander Lacazete. Hummels is not a bad defender either and I think evans should be sold cos he’s not a Man Utd material.
I don’t think we need many more playmakers, I would like to bring Depay into the side. De Bruyne is great but with the likes of mata and Herrera doing the job alongside fellaini I don’t think he’s needed. He wouldn’t want to bench warm and with the form of the midfield I couldn’t drop any of the three I just mentioned. We already have Blind, Carrick, di Maria, Januzaj so we don’t want too many midfielders; if we do bring any in we need to offload first. I see blind as the long term replacement for Carrick, calm and composed on the ball and very mentally gifted.
We need a Hummels for some stability at the back alongside smalling or jones. Dani alves at right back with blind or shaw at left back our side would be unbelievable.
Last but not least, sell Van Persie and don’t keep Falcao! Bring in Cavani and try and keep Javier Hernandez as a back up striker. That would be a team with depth given the purchases of Depay, Cavani, Hummels, Alves and maybe de bruyne/pogba.

Lvg has done a get job, utd is playing their best football, some players have raised their game, a reason way winning formula is seen,,,, over signings, I prefer we offload before we make some signings for the health of the club budget. Players like evens, falcao, rvp must go, then bring in a central defender (Hummels/otamendi), a physical box to box midfielder (khedira 27 not old-free), then a true striker, I like de bryuno offensively then mephis delay. At right back I think lvg must give Rafael a chance to prove his worth of which I think he is not aware of. No need of wasting cash on that position.
There’s no need to buy another striker while hernandez was on loan. We only need a good defendsive 6 lhke (de jong/pogba/carvalho or gundogan), and center back like (hummel/otamedi) because rooney can play 10 behind chicharito or mata play behind rooney. Also we must buy DE-PAY.
