Since the arrival of Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, the club has one main midfield target, Kevin Strootman.
Van Gaal praised the former PSV star as one of the best players around and as important to Netherlands as Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben.
Sadly, Strootman failed to make the World Cup because of long term injury suffered in March with AS Roma.
United hoped that he will recover in time before the end of summer window but in vain. Kevin has just returned to action and now reports strongly suggest that he will be playing for Manchester United next month.
According to Daily Star, Italian agent Matteo Materazzi suggests that Stroorman to Manchester United is all but a done deal.
“Manchester are one step away from Kevin Strootman.”
“The British club will pay €40m [£32m-$50m] into the coffers of the Giallorossi.”
United faithful will be overjoyed with this latest news, however, Van Gaal still has important business to do in winter with more quality players needed.
A quality central defender is also one of Man United’s priority, it remains to be seen who will be the one to join the Devils in mid-season.
