Manchester United secured one of the biggest signings in the summer that too on loan with the arrival of Radamel Falcao.
However, the Colombian international has mainly been on the sidelines.
On the other hand, when fit, Falcao has normally found himself starting from the bench. A decision that has baffled many United fans.
The goal scoring record of the former Atletico and Porto star is way better than that of Rooney o Robin van Persie,
Still, Man United boss Louis van Gaal prefers Rooney as he is the captain and perhaps Robin van Persie as he is his compatriot.
Van Persie performed brilliantly for Netherlands under the management of Van Gaal but since returning from World Cup, the Dutch star has been average and fans have asked for him to be dropped.
Van Gaal though has other ideas and he continues to play him
More shocking revelation is that he believes that perhaps Falcao adversely influences the balance of the team as he claimed:
“The problem for Falcao is that the balance of the team is more important than the individual,”
“It is not his fault and not because of his performances.”
The statement is baffling because Falcao has not even played 90 minutes in even a single game. Moreover, in his 5 appearances, he has performed better than Van Persie, scoring a goal and provided 2 assists.
Perhaps that shocking revelation is also an indication that Falcao might be allowed to go back to Monaco at the end of his loan spell and will not be made permanent.
