Arsenal all Set to Sign the Missing Piece of Puzzle

Sami Khedira Real MadridAfter an impressive show against Paul Lambert’s Aston Villa in the premier league last weekend, Arsenal could only come up with mediocre display against Saints.
Southampton knocked Arsenal out of the Capital One Cup in their own backyard Emirates Stadium.
It will be fair to say that Gunners’ only brilliant performance this season was seen in the Villa park else they have been largely average.
Arsene Wenger did sign several quality stars to improve the quality of the squad but not all departments were reinforced.
Particularly the midfield department needed a top quality holding midfielder but Gunners failed to lure any in the summer transfer window.
However, according to reports going on in the media, Arsenal seem all set to sign Real Madrid and German defensive midfielder Sami Khedira in the January transfer window.
The North Londoners already have a few top Kaisers in the squad with Podolski, Gnabry, Mertesacker and record signing Mesut Ozil and Khedira is attracted by the prospect of playing with his national team mates as well.
If Arsenal can secure his signature, then surely they will sign the missing piece of puzzle from the otherwise strong starting XI.
As of now, captain Arteta and Flamini are the two holding midfielders in the squad but none of them are at the level currently desired by Arsenal.
Khedira is arguably one of the best defensive midfielders in the world and will largely increase the quality of the London club.

Its true the gunners are lacking a quality of Sami Khedira’s type in holding midfield. If they can add such a quality in a midfield & central defence, surely they’ll be tittle contenters.
