Van Gaal Closing in to Seal $29m Deals for Manchester United

Louis Van GaalLouis van Gaal is currently doing wonders with national side Netherlands at the World Cup and the United fans cannot wait to welcome him at Old Trafford.
The Dutch manager has all his focus on the World Cup for now but has handed the list of players he wants at Manchester United for the next season.
Two signings are completed and but that is not it. It seems that now the newly appointed coach wants United to focus on the defensive side more.
According to Daily Star, Van Gaal is closing in on to seal deals worth $29m for the Red Devils for two Dutch stars i.e. Nigel de Jong and Stefan de Vrij.
The mentioned players have been a crucial part of Holland’s world cup campaign but lately, de Jong has been ruled out of rest of the competition with injury and will recover in 2-4 weeks.
As per the provided link, United believe they can hire the services of Feyenoord defender De Vrij for just $12m which will be a huge bargain as he is expected to replace the likes of Vidic and Ferdinand.
On the other hand, Former Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong who currently plays for Italian side AC Milan is going to cost around $17m.
Having lured a creative midfielder in Herrera, it makes completed sense that United should focus on the defensive side of midfield as well but is De Jong the best option? United were also linked with Portuguese holding mid player William Carvalho but his price tag is very high as compared to the Dutch star.

Get Vidal and Carvalho.Release fletcher, selling Tom would be a decision weighted cleverly, give lazy Fellani a chance under a ‘Van Gaal’…and please don’t buy De Jong. That’s mediocrity. This will give room to a united bench that influence difficult games when they are brought on

  2. rock sohlohkay says:

Pls pls and pls get us Vidal and calvaho instead of de jong. Jvril is acceptable but dejong should be out of the plan though he is a good player but we shouldn’t consider price tag and end up buying quantity instead of quality. Pls we want Vidal by all means.

  3. Markfromcark says:

De Vrij a good buy, De Jong too slow. Carvalho would be a great buy even at his buy out clause considering his age. Vidal now we are talking ……. This guy alone would drag any team back into the top 4.
And If we can’t get Hummels, how about Carrick in a back 3 !!!!
And how about young Yedlik from Seattle Sounders as cover for Rafael, he was brilliant against Belgium last night.

We should be considerate enough about the categority of players we hired in. On this course, we need the addition of quality players like Carvalho, Vidal, Hummels, De Vrij, Memphis Depay or Sanchez and Janmaat, to bolster the team and restore its lost glory. Players like Young’ should atop the selling list, featured by Fletcher, Cleverly, Nani as a swap for Vidal and give Fellaini a convincing trial till January. I’d opine we give Lingaard a trial in order not to make the same Pogba’s err. He’s versatile, creative, athlete, dazzle around with the ball. Just give him a chance and add Bébé in the deal to bring Nicolas Gaitan to Old Trafford.

I believe LVG will deploy a 3-4-3, with 3 central defenders, 2 winged backs and 2 CM and 3 up front.
With Vermaelen looking a done deal and a holding mid on the cards i believe MUFC can look like this next season.
GK: De Gea, RCB: Jones, CB: De Vrij, LCB: Vermaelen, RWB: Valencia, CM: Carvalho, CM: Herrera, LWB: Shaw,
RW: Mata, LW: Kagawa, ST: RVP
That`s right, after a poor world cup i think both Rooney and Welbeck needs to fight for a position. Depending how far the Dutch go Rooney could start up front ahead of RVP for now. Just my thoughts let me know if you agree or not.

  13. Bakata henry says:

Man united should get quality players in order to avoid the nonsenses of last season .Players Carvloh, Vidal are key addition to the united squad. Price tag should not scare you .
United should off load players who not adding value to give for the quality figures .
The is one problem with United they can sing about a particular player end up chasing Air. and becomes opportunity for other clubs.
I except Louis Van Gaal to do some thing better than David Moyes .We need player with names and with qualities .
    Bakata.

  14. Aturo Vidal,De Vrij, sanchez,Mat Hummels, and Jamaat should be our Top perioty,if we can get those guys we’ll be ok,and we can challenge any team. MAN U 4 LIFE
