Forget 4-3-3: How Rodgers should Line up LFC without Sturridge

Dany Sturridge Liverpool SunderlandLiverpool were handed a massive wake up call against Hull City yesterday as the high flying merseysiders suffered 3-1 defeat vs Tigers.
Hull were in horrific form coming into the fixture and Reds were considered favorites to beat them away. However, Rodgers’s team selection and setup showed how lightly he took the game and eventually paid the price
After the game, the manager was lamenting the quality as well as the absence of Sturridge as the main reasons behind a shocking performance.
Liverpool mainly utilized a 3-4-1-2 formation when Suarez returned from his ban. Before that, Sturridge was playing lone upfront in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Both proved fruitful, especially in defense.
However, after losing to Arsenal, Rodgers reverted back to his old 4-3-3 formation that ripped apart a poor Fulham side but afterwards Reds have conceded 6 in two games.
Opponents have found it really easy to find gaps in their setup as shown by Everton and Hull City. Yes, Sturridge injury is a massive blow but Rodgers cannot be complacent as the absence of Luis was an equal negative as well.
However, Liverpool coped well when Suarez was not there and they are more than capable of doing the same without Sturridge. Rodgers needs to shift back to 4-2-3-1 with 2 players providing shield in-front of back four to sort things out.
Here is how Rodgers should line up LFC without Sturridge.
