Arsenal suffered their second defeat of the league campaign at the hands of Manchester United yesterday and the performances proved they need serious reinforcements in January.
Gunners now lead second placed Liverpool by only two points and have to face a tough fixture against high flying Southampton next in the premier league.
According to reports, Arsenal are planning €26m and €12m deals in winter to sign a striker and defender respectively.
The players in discussion are Real Madrid’s Benzema and Manchester City’s Micah Richards.
Gunners have been linked with the French striker before along with other numerous strikers and they really need one badly.
Although, as far as the things have gone this season, Giroud has played well for the North Londoners but they have no depth in striking department.
Adding to that, Giroud, no matter how good at work rate, is still not a top class striker such as the likes of Aguero, Suarez and Van Persie.
If Arsenal really want to win the league, they need a clinical goal scorer. Benzema has not been at his best this season for Los Blancos but without a shadow of a doubt he has all the qualities and is a prolific forward.
Right back Bacary Sagna was linked elsewhere not so long ago because of his inconsistent performances mainly last season. However, he has found form as well.
Still, Wenger wants more depth in that position and City’s outcast Richards is by no means a bad option.
Capable of playing both as center back and right back, Arsenal can benefit from Richards’s versatility.
The tough league fixtures have only started and Arsenal should not waste any time in January to reinforce squad. Else another trophy-less year can be a major possibility.

Surely What we watched on Sunday If Arsenal does not buy a World class Striker like Saurez of liverpool this january ,then we have a trophyless season.

Emenike of Feneberche FC is a sure bet for Arsenal, go for him Wenger, he’s strong, tall, posesses good technics and he’s also an Arsenal fan, he’s idols are Kanu Nwankwo and Henry, bring him to Arsenal for just £12mil and make loyal Arsenal fans from West African happy after the botched pre-season trip to Nigeria and increase your fanbase in Africa, cos I also became an Arsenal fan when Kanu and Regobert Song use to wear the red and white of Arsenal.
Emanuel Emenike of Fenerbache, Alex Pato of Brazil or El Sharawei (or how is it spelled) of AC Milan, Alex Song of Barcelona and an attack minded right back a total of 4 new players and Arsenal would be invincible again.
Diego costa or luis suarez is a creativ player , i think benzema is good enough . We need striker creativ
Really guys I agreed we need a world class striker we had better side of the game in second half not to draw but to win the game at OT guys created chances but no one to use it in a big game you don’t create over five chances and you fail to use the pass from Gnabry which was not use pain

I think arsenal can do better off with the proposed move for kareem benzema,we should go for the likes of lewandoski,pato,benteke,costa and suarez depending on the position and form of liverpool on the league table with our strong financial strength.we can also make do with a right full back because we are also weak in that area for the past 2-3 seasons 5 different players have played in that position,we need a RB that is versatile,pacy,efficient,strong,fast( not as slow as jenk) and that can go forward too.
Inconclusion,we need a natural winger and envisage that when the likes of Theo,OX and Podolski returns with full fitness.trophyless will debacle the moral and the mental strength of the team at the end of the season if we fail to reinforce in january.i will be abase as an arsenal fan if we fail to win a trophy this season.goodluck to the team.up gunners!
olivier giroud is nt a good striker bcos he’s too lazy at dat front he cannot use any chance 2 put fear in d minds of other fans. We need a good striker 2 support him or to replace him strikers like suarez, lewandowski, benzema, hernandez, shaarawy. any of these is capable to do a good job

How could He play 2 defensive midfielders against a weak United midfield? Giroud is trying his best, we all know Giroud is best as our second striker.
We need Benteke, suares or Martinez from porto.

aint going to be trophyless.If Wenger fails to bring in anyone,chances are the gunners could be
under pressure when the big games come.
Although the gap with red face less team is only 5 points, believe me the ex rf team won’t have its easy from this season onwards.The reason is simple. In the pat he had to contend with Chelsea and MC.Now Arsenal have the money to compet e. Then we have Pool.
Whereas in the past he had 80% of the transfer mart for top players ,this is no longer the case.. The field has
been levelled. The only thing that needs to be done to have more competent referees who are not intimidated by the orf.Believe me he has won at least 30% to 50% of his trophy haul on the back of refs.

To win any trophy, we should have a world class striker and currently that striker could be lewandosky really talented, young, athletic and also can be available in the market suareze is world class striker but liverpool will not sell to his rivalry. So Wenger please buy lewandosky and if not try benzema i don’t think Ba is stronger than Giroud! so buy either of this players other wise don’t dream to trophy rather think of ur fourth place as usuall ha.
We should sign a proven EPL striker to slim any chance of a flop so it should be either ((Dzeko, Ba or checharito)) eventhough it will be a turn off that non of them could play for us in the champions they would need time to jell with the team for the first year anyway. Only my point of view
