Arsenal – Aaron Ramsey, a Complete Package But Wait

Arsenal Ramsey WengerAaron Ramsey has arguably been one of the best players in the premier league if not the best.
Arsenal have been playing some fantastic football since the arrival of Mesut Ozil but their recent success is not all down to the German star.
Ramsey has already scored 9 goals for the club this season and provided 4 assists as well.
We always knew Ramsey as a central midfielder but this season he has shown the world how versatile talent he is.
The Welsh international has been brilliant while playing the central midfield guiding the play.
Moreover, Ramsey has provided the much needed fire power in Arsenal’s attack from all directions.
Wenger has utilized him in different positions and he has ripped defenses apart from all, from right, left and the center.
His heroic form this season surely made the gunner supporter believes that he is the complete package but well not quite so much.
Last night, Arsenal brilliant run of form ended with a defeat against German side Borussia Dortmund and Ramsey was at fault for the first goal.
A player has got to do his job and Ramsey perhaps tried to prove that he is as good a player in defense as he is in the central and attacking midfield.
The in-form midfielder should/could have cleared the ball easily but opted to “Messi” his way through BVB’s attack near his own defense. Eventually paid the price and hopefully would have learned his lesson.
The Group of death is wide open now. Arsenal, who were considered favorites to top the group before the game may find themselves in a difficult situation after losing at home as Dortmund will be more dominant at theirs.

  1. I.P. from South Africa says:

Our team has definitely improved from last season, however, we have thus far not faced the sternest tests in the EPL. Last night was really the first occasion we have faced a team with true quality and we seemed somewhat at a loss to generate our normal fast paced play. Where was the new found ability to fetch lost balls back from the opposition, ( Barca style), the pressing on opposition players? The Boss ascribes this to fatigue and naivety, however, is it not his job to identify this prior to such important games? It is worrying to me to also hear the boss say that he does not see the need to become too involved in the transfer market in January. Last night I think we could clearly see that our team definitely require more world class players, especially up front, in the central defence, holding midfield and goal keeping positions. Why Gnabry was not used from the start in stead of Wilshire is a mystery to me. Wilshire is NOT and will never be a wing.
