Arsenal Latest – €16 Million Deal Close

Arsenal Latest - €16 Million Deal CloseArsenal fans are getting frustrated by the minute in this transfer window as the club has by large disappointed again. It looks highly unlikely that gunners will sign Suarez and the pursuit of Rooney is going to end the same way as well.
However, there is some hope as reports suggest that Arsene Wenger is seriously interested in signing Bayern Munich star and Brazilian Gustavo. It is reported that a €16 Million deal is close and Arsenal may sign the player sooner rather than later.
Luiz Gustavo was an influential figure for Bayern Munich last season. Although his performances were bettered by none other than Spaniard Javi Martinez as a defensive midfielder, still Gustavo has been one of the most important players for Bayern in the past two seasons.
Adding to that, the Brazilian played every minute for the national side in their Confederations Cup triumph. Once again the Bayern star was brilliant against the World Champions in the final of the competition.
Arsene Wenger’s side already has a quality midfield but perhaps they needed more depth in defensive midfield department and Gustavo completely fits the bill.
However, they still remain short of a world class striker upfront, someone that they have largely missed last year. Although, Walcott believes that Gunners have a complete squad but fans will have other ideas. They surely need a prolific goalscorer and failing to lure one will not help their cause of winning the premier league title.
The new season will begin in a week and Arsenal do not have enough time to gel in new players. However, they need to make sure that they do not miss out on Gustavo as well. Arsene should pay the asking price now and secure the services of the highly talented Brazilian.

Some serious issues with English there, I suppose book learning isn’t for everyone. .

Your obviously not a true Arsenal supporter!! Yes, it is frustrating year after year, but as a die hard supporter and season ticket holder for over 20 years, you have to take the rough with the smooth!! We have had our fair share of glory in recent decades, unlike our neighbours up the road!
But to suggest people will stop supporting Arsenal because of failing to sign players and winning trophies year after year, well in my eyes simply makes you a glory hunter!!!
A team is for life, not for just when their winning!!!

        • Timbe66 says:

Could not agree more Danny! Who are these designer fans?I would much prefer that you do go and support another team, Arsenal fans support through the good times and the bad. You my ignorant friend are a knob! Do not let the door hit your arse on the way out!

With da duo new signings, things might actually turn da goonerz to a world of victors.
it’s still under speculations but if it comes into existence , da arrival of these two key players from latin America( Gustavo &Suarez) would end up seeing another era of da immortals as of a unique world club record to be attained by any.
out of this, the club would’ve have overstepped da mark once again.
plse, wenger get da players in to your sight .

I will fold my hands, keep dem cross and see wat this season holds for arsenal with so much sending out and less signing in….God have mercy

  6. steve says:

Would be a very good addition to our side,no need to waste time and speculate just make the required bid and sign this guy up,then move forward and put down 40 mil and make Rooney available for next Saturdays opening game against Villa.Come on Arsenal enough time wasted now lets get serious and show some real Ambition and send out a statement of intent to the rest of the so called big boys.OH and dont forget we DO need another 1st class keeper.

  7. joseph says:

i have alot of confidence with gustavo,by the way sincce the deperture of alex song, that hole is still gaping, about suarez,i think 40 millions is just perfect for him bearing in mind he is a controversial player,if liverpool refuse to sell,i think the earlier we try to bring some one else.

  8. Brema Rigasa says:

I’m now so lost wit d policy of Wenger in d sense dat,we sold our players n released some as loan.In person of Francis Coquelin,he will help us Inmensely in d picth but u sent dem out.Pls if its true dat u hv money at ur disposal Y cant u spend at rite b4 we start dropin point? Mind u,English football has completely change.Thank God u are also feelings d painsas well.

  9. busayo says:

Hope Mr wenger does what his right on time before he gives excuses when the transfer window closes.

  10. bc says:

This is a player we need more than any other. With injuries to monreal vermaelen and diaby gustavo has played all 3 positions so can cover them all. As thos players becom fit I am sure he will find his way into the team permanently alongside either arteta or ramsey or even diaby once he is fit.
Sure we need a world class striker but let’s face it we also need a world class keeper, right back, left back, centre back, right winger, left winger, the list goes on. Many years of not buying at least 1 world class player every year has left us in this position as well as letting world class players leave. As it stands the closest we have to world class is cazorla.

  11. D'punisher says:

@wenger.Suarez n Gustavo 50+16=66m nd u’re still having a balance of 14m let end diz trouphless journey of ourz plz plz plz

  12. Amos Talemwa Muwonge says:

    Dear Mr Wenger,
On behalf of Arsenal fans in Uganda, kindly sign Luiz Gustavo before it is late. You know very well that Arteta is not supposed to be in that position. Besides, Ramsey is not yet our class so it is better he gets loaned.
Looking forward for your positive consideration.

  13. Wenger should knw dat if arsenal want to compete which our rivals we need dm and good striker dat can convert our opportunity into goal pls wenger we all plead to get wht we need to make dis year our own.

  14. Aminu Ganiyu says:

Wenger what is your problem? Just go ahead and sign gustavo and stop putting we fans in suspense.

  15. Sani says:

Teasing it alway an arsene wenger plan 4 arsenal’s fans.

  16. Kevin Weaver says:

If Theo thinks we have enough quality up front, we must have! After all he would know being the world beater he is!

  17. Burly.c. says:

    Aw, pls stop wasting time,just be serious 4 a while! ! !:-/

  18. Aidurus says:

Its gud new 2 hear dat coz Arsena need more striker nd midfld if Arsenal get Gustavo its bcme champ of ths bry league

  19. Moses ilim says:

A goal scorer should be Wenger’s priority. However, a player in Gustavo class is not a bad addition to d club.Atleast Ateta needs assisstance.

  20. Binamungu D. Lwamlema says:

Its good news if we have Gustavo, very talented player.

  21. AbrahamGubley says:

Wat kind of manager are u? Stop killing arsenal fans, u can leave de team now.

  22. sunny japan says:

wenger u alway dictect gud players but at last u will not sign why pls try to sign suarex b/c if u fail to sign him i will not be an arsenal fans again

  23. famex says:

we need something meaningful out of the squad. wenger needs to be serious.

  24. Joseph Ogunlade says:

Arsenal need a defensive midfielder, a top striker, good center back and a goal keeper.

  25. Arsene, I am very much discourage to see you sack in the next few months if you fail to win the first ten games. Please this will be the lack of quality players. Please buy striker, defender and defensive midfielder. I hope you will take this advice. I need glory now instal of keeping children.

  26. True goon says:

What makes me laugh is all these so called arsenal supporters that are all behind wenger and constantly remarke on how they are arsenal fans no matter what and you support the team not what we win! I agree with the last start but the fact we are all fickle football fans and want out team to at least challenge for trophys I don’t expect us to spend money we havnt got like most teams but we need to strengthen the team and have the money to do so it shows no ambition to me and I think wenger has lost his ability to pull put bargain buys as all the scouts have caught up with him and everyone on the same page now! For me t would be like bein a millionaire and living in 1 bedroom flat ! If you have the resources to strengthen your team why not do it? We only have 3 centre half now and one is Injured out squad is allot weaker then last year and we just scrapped 4th and wengers comes out with a stupid comment that we will compete for the title this year I think he has lost the plot and needs to give some new blood a go in charge as the old sayin goes every do has it day!
