No Hope? United to Make Final Bid to Sign Former Gunner

No Hope? United to Make Final Bid to Sign Former GunnerArsenal continue to chase Liverpool star man while Manchester United are still not halting their pursuit to lure ex-Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas. Despite having two bids rejected, the Red Devils are reluctant to lose the battle and will reportedly come up with one final bid to sign former gunner.
However, is there any hope left for United? Are they really hoping that Barca will somehow accept their third bid. Reports suggest that this time David Moyes is going to break the bank and come up with a 35 million pounds offer to secure the services of Fabregas.
The mentioned amount will break United’s transfer record that was set when Ferguson signed Dimitar Berbatov in 2008.
New Barca manager Martino has clearly stated that he wants Fabregas playing for the Catalan side next season. The main concern is with Fabregas’s own situation.
The Spaniard has reiterated more than a few times that he is happy at his boyhood club and has no plans of leaving any sooner. However, since United have showed real intent to sign Cesc, the player has not come up with any statement to ensure that he is staying or leaving. May be, that is why United are still hopeful.
Media has reported mixed news over the past few weeks. At one end there was one “Fabregas has told his friends he wants to join United” and then the other day, it was completely the other way around with “Fabregas telling his friends that he wants to stay at Barca”
Only he would know what he wants. Arsenal are also monitoring Fabregas’s situation but Wenger strongly believes that Cesc will not leave Spain, may be next year but not this summer. Cesc’s close bond with Arsenal may as well act as another stumbling block for United.
Moyes is yet to sign his first big name player for his new club. With only a week or so left before the start of new season, the former Everton manager must act rapidly in the transfer market and should move for realistic targets. It is highly unlikely that even a record bid of 35 million pounds can lure Fabregas, but the fans can always hope.
