Liverpool to Pay Asking Price and Sign Spanish Sensation

Liverpool to Pay Asking Price and Sign Spanish SensationLiverpool are close to securing what will remarkably be their third deal and we have not even reached mid-June as yet. The player in discussion is Sevilla’s Luis Alberto Romero who played last season for Barcelona B side in Spanish Segunda.

Reports suggest that the merseysiders have already agreed terms with the Spanish international and only an agreement with Sevilla is left. Liverpool have reportedly offered 6 million euros to sign Luis Alberto but Sevilla are looking for at least 9 million for the youngster who was quite impressive on loan.

Only aspect perhaps left in this scenario is that Liverpool have to pay 3 million more and Luis Alberto will be a Red come the start of next season.

The 20 year old scored 11 goals in 18 starts last season and although that was in the second division, the talent was enough for Liverpool to go for him and if Rodgers really has Alberto in his plans for next season then expect Liverpool to pay asking price and sign the Spanish sensation.

Liverpool have already agreed a deal with Kolo Toure and perhaps the same with Iago aspas (no official confirmation yet), the addition of Luis Alberto will further boost the quality of squad and enhance their chances of qualifying for Champions League after a long wait.

According to Spanish paper El Desmarque Luis Alberto claimed:

“It would be foolish and deluded for me to say no to a club like Liverpool”

Whether or not these comments are genuine is another matter but without a doubt it will be a massive step up in Luis Alberto’s career to sign for Liverpool and he will grab the opportunity with both hands.

Rodgers is in no mood of stopping the transfer activity as it seems and from what we have seen up till now, do expect Alberto to sign for Reds soon and do not expect that this will be Liverpool’s last signing as there is a long transfer season ahead.

If he’s so highly rated why isnt he in the Spain u21 team and why wouldn’t barca pay the 4ml euro option they had available after his loan

  4. Sky says:

Liverpool are following the footsteps of Arsenal and Manchester United in digging the Barcelona Youth Setup.

  5. Rossi says:

Because they have Thiago Alancantra who is better and same age prob some other youngsters aswell ie too many in same position thats the reason they didnt buy him. I think he is porbably better than Shelvey and is his replacement because he fits better with rodgers.

  6. amit says:

The only reason barca doesnt want to buy this kid is because they already have many players in that position and let me tell u from what I have seen of this kid on youtube if he is that good his asking price will be more than 40mill in coming 2-3 years. he is that good

  7. Robinson Odeny says:

Liverpool should sign this young talented player as soon as possible to enable them look other players who can play different possitions in the field especially in the defence to strengthen the squad for the coming season.we appreciate th way Ian Ayre together with his staff menbers and manager Brendan Rodgers have struggled to sign talented players like Toure and Aspas this middle of window summer.

As a liverpoolfc fan I appreciate what’s going on at liverpool football club, cos there’s a better future sooner, thanks to Liverpoolfc Director together with the whole Board for a great work they were done to ensured, this our great Club return to where it ought to be,but most important Luis Suarez issue must be sort out as early as possible cos I wasn’t happy about the comments he made.

  10. Luis Alberto would be a perfect addition,i’ve not yet seen many spanish who fail to shine in England, replace lazy jonjo by loaning him…

  11. matthaguey says:

get him,he will be good 4 lfc

  12. Dee-Wayne says:

He’s not a like for like replacement for Shelvey. What everyone who slates Shelvey needs to understand is that the lad has been played out of position on so many occasions. He should be loaned out to a premier league club where he’ll be playing week in, week out. He’s actually more talented than Jordan “I’m a midfielder but I can’t pass” Henderson! Louis Alberto is more an attacking midfielder/forward. The reason Barcelona didn’t keep him is because they have too many similar players, look at his record (11 goal from 18 starts), he looks impressive in the videos I’ve seen too. I don’t us to buy to many players that are too similar. Not sure about this Aspasnguy but I’ll give him a chance. Another holding midfielder/deep lying playmaker would be nice as I’m not a fan of Joe Allen. Lets also start making the dead wood available for transfer now (downing, Borini, skrtel, Coates, etc). What Brendan also needs to be careful of is if Suarez goes he needs to buy quality no, offence to Aspas.

  13. Lets not start judging luiz alberto b4 time.he is a good player,we all know that.

  14. Bala Joseph says:

    what about Suso

  15. Robert says:

Quality matters, but not only very young players of such ages, no!!!!!!

  16. Ajayi Olusola says:

Brendan Rodger is doing very well in d transfer market. We need 1 more central defender, one player marker & one more winger & a keeper.Liverpool will win at least a trophy & make top 2 next season.Liverpool 4 life

  17. Dillon says:

We have to give a player a chance when we sign new additions of course but I still like to say my verdict before hand to see if I’m right or not and hope I’m wrong but I don’t think he’s going to be anything special . Sevilla finished 9th in la liga last season and he’s not good enough to get in there squad . He came on as a sub 5 times for Sevilla not scoring a goal and then gets loaned out to barca b scoring 11 in 18 full games. He’s not good enough for a Spanish 9th position team bug going to be amazing for us apparently ??? We shall see

  18. Thomas says:

Spanish Sensation… Do me a favour please!!
I remember the days when we signed players and they were actually great players. Why is it now every player we are about to sign is the next Zidane or Platini? We have heard all this before, what we want is established/proven players not bargain basement. The truth is we cant compete with the big boys in the transfer market…FACT!

  19. Ban george says:

I think lets take a gamble on Luis alberto!!!! coz also Coutinho neva used to be aregular at intermilan thats y he was loaned to Espanyol.
Aspas,Coutinho,Sterling,Suso,Sturidge all can do better in Creative dep!!! Lazy> shelvey,Skrtel, downing,Carroll,Assaidi out,Allen’s potential???,

  20. Fuad says:

I believe this kid Luiz Alberto is going to be even better than Countinho!

  21. Sean says:

If he is a sensation then why won’t we get him as soon as possible:)
