Win-Win Deal for All the Parties

Win-Win Deal for All the PartiesLiverpool and West Ham are reportedly close to agreeing a permanent move for British record signing Andy Carroll in a deal worth £15 million. Although the mentioned amount is far less than what reds paid for the former Newcastle man but perhaps both clubs will be satisfied.
Reds legend Kenny Dalglish signed the big Geordie for mammoth amount of 35 million. However, Carroll failed to make his mark at Liverpool despite given fair amount of chances and is likely to sign for West Ham on permanent basis. Is it a Win-Win deal for all the parties?

West Ham

The Hammers want him more than anyone else. Carroll has been one of the main reasons why the club finished the premier league season in the top half. Although the striker was thwarted by injury concerns at the start of the campaign but since his return, he has been West Ham’s star man.
Big Sam will be delighted to have someone who completely fits his direct style of play. Play to Carroll’s strengths and he is one of the hardest forward to deal with. In his presence, the system was mainly built around Carroll and surely the manager will not want to lose him.

Liverpool

Although news all over claim that Liverpool are actually accepting a loss by selling Carroll for cheap. As far as figures are concerned, Yes but for the future, they have got this one right.
Read and heard it many a times that Carroll does not suit the system. Plus he is on very high wages earning 90k a week. To cut both and earn 15 million to invest in the summer transfer market is easily the best solution for Liverpool.
Rodgers has done wonders in the January transfer window as he signed two top class players in Coutinho and Sturridge for a combined sum of £20 million. He surely will have an opportunity to do the same with the $$$ coming from Carroll’s sale.

Andy Carroll

Perhaps Carroll will be the only person for whom this will not be a win-win deal. Although Andy did claim recently that he enjoyed every minute of being at West Ham but does he really want a permanent move?
For now, nothing has been mentioned about his 90k/week earning but if West Ham do not pay that sum, will he be eager to stay?
Adding to that, few years back his dream was to play in Europe and now he just played a full season for a club who only got promotion last year. Will he be interested in keeping his ambitions low or perhaps overly high by dreaming of playing in Europe with West Ham. The only positive for him? Atleast, he is guaranteed first team football with Hammers
The latest reports indicate that Carroll will be on the treatment table for the next 3 months however that may not influence the agreement between Liverpool and West Ham as both seem content with the deal. Can the same be said about Carroll, not sure but we will have the answers soon.
