Spurs Keep Top 4 Dream Alive but Pardew Scares them Big Time

Spurs Keep Top 4 Dream Alive but Pardew Scares them Big TimeArsenal hold the cards as far as Champions League qualification is concerned but Spurs did their bit and keep top 4 dream alive for now. A late goal against Stoke City ensured that Tottenham earn all three points but a certain comment from Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has surely scared Tottenham fans big time.
Currently Spurs are two points ahead of Arsenal but their arch rivals have a game in hand that will be played against FA Cup champions Wigan in midweek. The supporters will be hoping that Wigan can somehow draw/defeat the gunners at Emirates so that Tottenham can regain the upper hand in the race for top 4.
Having shocked the footballing world by beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final yesterday, Roberto Martinez’s next task for the Latics is to ensure premier league survival once again and for that they have to win both remaining fixtures.
Chelsea have all but secured CL qualification after beating Aston Villa 2-1 in their own backyard. Tottenham will be counting on Wigan to upset gunners so that the tide will turn back in their favor.
If that does not happen, then only a miracle can help Spurs as Arsenal have to face poor Newcastle in the last league fixture whose manager Alan Pardew has come up with serious demotivating statement as far as Spurs and their top 4 dream is concerned. Pardew claimed after today’s win against QPR:

“We got an important result today”
“I don’t really care if Arsenal win 4-0 if I’m honest, I’m sure Spurs will, but I only care that our fans enjoy themselves”

Newcastle have played clueless football all season long but somehow they have finally secured premier league football for next season and that is the only thing Alan Pardew cares about for now. Makes sense, you cannot really blame him for that.
Spurs will face Sunderland in the last game of the premier league next week and it is likely that they will once again finish the season below Arsenal. If that is to change this season then perhaps Wigan Athletic are their only hope left.

What a professional comment from a manager of a classy club……….and as for the comment on here already…..most Spurs fans don’t give a toss about where Woolwich finish. We need to do as well as we can, and we ain’t done bad this year, without the first choice centre half, without the first choice central midfielder, without a recognised striker for most of the season, and after losing two world class players last season. Let’s see how you get on against Wigan shall we? And learn how to spell please please….

That’s right, keep telling yourself that you don’t care where Arsenal finish, it must pain you each and every year to see us finish above you. Boo hoo, you may have lost two ‘world class’ players last summer but we’ve been unfortunate enough to experience that for the last four years and we’re still standing. Also, remind me when exactly Kaboul and Sandro become ‘first choice’ over Vertonghen and Dembele/Parker – and how can you possibly not regard Adebayor and Defoe as recognised strikers? That’s two by my count. It’s true you’re not having a bad season by your standards but we’re having a poor one by our’s and it’s still this close – I think that says more about the gulf between the sides than anything.

Pardew is clueless. His team are a shambles because of his inept management and instead of asking his team to kick on from a massively important result and to make themselves and their fans proud by beating Arsenal, he makes the crass comment about not caring if they lose 4-0 – what a pathetic clown.
Before Spurs’s win at the Britannia today Arsenal were hot favourites for that remaining CL place but now it’s very much more uncertain. Spurs will be expected to beat Sunderland at White Hart Lane which would leave Arsenal needing two wins out of two. Martinez has far more class than pitiful Pardew and will prepare his team for what could be one of the key games of the season.

Nice comments from a two bob manager wont be managing Newcastle utd next season. Newcastle obviously struggled all season because of this tossers lack of personality and dignity that failed to motivate his team. Is tjis the same Pardew who had a touchline fight with Wenger when he manages West Ham? Why the arse kissing mr pardew?

to Billy – just over three years ago Spurs were in a relegation fight and Arsenal were challenging for the title – the gap has nealy closed completely – and Arsenal were not unfortunate to loose their best players like Nasri, Fabregas and Van Persie – all three were desperate to leave to win trophies – which they all did – despite all three being under contract Arsenal decided to cash in and replaced them with players nowhere near as good – and what happened to Wengers ‘young boys’ we always used to hear about – he seems to be wasting Arsenal’s million on has beens.

    Pardew often makes ridiculous comments.
eg Sunderland are favourites to win this game – made just before the tyne wear local derby.
Newcastle fans will care very much if Arsenal win 4-0.
Come on Wigan and send the Mackems down.
