Everton Favorites Against Struggling QPR

Everton Favorites Against Struggling QPRTop four chasing Everton are favorites against relegation threatened Queens Park Rangers. The toffees are just six points of champions league places with a game in hand on fourth place Tottenham. On the other hand, QPR are seven points from safety with only 6 games remaining, they are struggling and are likely to go down.
Everton were held to a draw against Spurs last weekend as a late equalizer from Tottenham meant the team shared points on the day. That result brought an end to a three game winning run for Everton. David Moyes will be glad to have star players Marouane Fellaini and Steven Pienaar back who were out through suspension.
Captain Phil Neville has announced that he will leave the club at the end of the season and the 36 year old hopes to continue his playing career away from Goodison Park.
Queens Park Rangers face almost an impossible task to somehow survive relegation after Shaun Maloney’s stoppage time equalizer for Wigan Athletic denied Harry Redknapp’s side a vital win last week. The QPR boss described that moment as his lowest in football.
As mentioned, Rangers are 7 points from safety with only six games remaining and a fixture against high flying Everton could not have come at a worse time.
For worst, Bobby Zamora was shown red card against Roberto Martinez’s side and will miss today’s game through suspension and winger Shawn Wright Phillips has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury.
Things look disastrous for Queens Park Rangers who simply have to win today if they are to stand any chance of playing premier league football next season. Their fixtures are not getting any easier as they still have to face Arsenal and Liverpool in the remaining games.
For Everton, three points will be significant as they focus on qualifying for the Champions League and they have their sights set on the all-important game coming up in midweek against Arsenal. The gunners will overtake Spurs in 4th place if they beat Norwich today and are currently 4 points ahead of Everton in the league table.
