City v United v Chelsea – Signing that can Win Premier League

Having conceded the premier league title, Manchester City look to bounce back next season and snatch the crown from Manchester United. The sky blues are expected to spend millions in the summer transfer window but perhaps there is one signing that can win the premier league next season.
The player in discussion is in fact, Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao. Both Manchester clubs and Chelsea have been linked with the Columbian forward lately. The battle to sign him will be intriguing as Falcao is arguably the best striker in the world right now.
In summer Manchester United and Manchester City competed to sign last year’s top scorer, Robin van Persie. The clubs knew the importance of the former Arsenal man and in the end United splashed 20 million to sign the Dutch striker.
The signing of Robin van Persie is the main reason why United are running away with the premier league title this season. None of the City forwards has been as prolific as the ex-gunner and above all van Persie scored numerous significant match winning goals for the Red Devils.
On the other hand, one of the main reasons Chelsea could not compete for the title this season was their striker dilemma. Although they did sign brilliant midfielders like Hazard and Oscar but lack of goals from their front men have held them back.
Alex Ferguson is well aware of the fact that City and Chelsea will come back roaring next season after mediocre campaign this term and Falcao may as well be the key to that mission. The Columbian starlet has scored no less than 28 goals this season in 33 appearances and is by all means a complete out and out striker.
Atletico will surely look to hold on to their prized asset as they will likely feature in next year’s Champions League. However, a mega bid from rich English clubs may as well force the Spanish club to sell Falcao who will cost around 45 odd million at least. Falcao’s choice is still unknown and we shall have the answer soon in the next transfer window.
